To hold a spot in the litter, a $300.00 reservation fee is required, with balance due when the puppy is ready for his/her new home. All payments and reservation fees are non-refundable. We accept payments of reservation fees in the form of money orders, cashier’s check, cash or personal check made out to Sand Hill Shepherds and Setters. The final payment is only acceptable in the form of cash. NO PERSONAL CHECKS for the final payment PLEASE. Reservation fees are transferable to the next litter but must be transferred before the puppies reach the age of two weeks old. After that point, if you choose to not take a puppy from the litter you requested, your reservation fee will be forfeited. Any puppy held after 10 weeks old will incur a charge of $35 per day.

THIS PUPPY IS TO BE SOLD UNDER THE FOLLOWING TERMS HEALTH WARRANTY

 

Seller guarantees that the puppy is free from life threatening diseases and disabilities for 72 hours after delivery to buyer. Should life threatening disease or disabilities be discovered by the buyer within 72 hours of receipt of puppy and attested to in writing to seller by buyers licensed veterinarian, seller will provide buyer with replacement puppy, or a full refund if a puppy is no longer available. Original puppy must be returned to seller before a replacement puppy or refund will be provided. Transportation and veterinarian fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Seller strongly recommends that the buyer has the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of buyer’s choice within 72 hours of receiving said puppy.

 

Seller guarantees puppy for two years from date of birth to be free from hip and elbow dysplasia. If in the event this should occur, written test results from a certified radiologist are required for a replacement puppy. This guarantee is for a replacement puppy from the next available litter only, no money refunds will be made. Transportation and veterinarian fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

 

GENERAL

 

The puppy will have been given all age-appropriate shots by the Seller. Buyer agrees to immunize the puppy against diseases after they receive the puppy. Seller will not be responsible for diseases contacted as a result of not immunizing the puppy with all veterinarian recommended vaccinations.

 

Buyer agrees to take on the responsibility of training the puppy. It is natural for a puppy to bark, chew, bite, play, dig, jump, and urinate. It is the buyer’s responsibility to train and teach him how to act and to give them gentle consequences. You will receive a helpful book to assist you with training your puppy by the Seller. For the most enjoyable experience with your new companion, the Seller strongly recommends that every puppy have professional obedience training.

 

Buyer may return the dog to Seller at any time during its lifetime. A complete vaccination record, health history and behavioral information must be provided. Buyer will not be refunded any money, nor will another puppy be provided or sold to the Buyer. Seller may re-sale the dog/puppy at their discretion after Buyer has returned it and Buyer will receive no monetary return from the sale.

 

Seller will provide Limited AKC Registration. If seeking Full registration, OFA health testing (or equivalent) for Hips and Elbows must be completed and passing. Certification must be submitted to Sand Hill Shepherd and Setters, breeder will then submit AKC application to Revoke limited Status. Male pups must not be neutered before 8 months of age and must be done before 18 months of age. Female pups should be spayed after their first heat cycle and before 20 months of age. Seller will provide buyer with all medical information that has been provided for the puppy.

 

Seller’s obligations are limited to those stated in this contract.

 

Your reservation fee holds your puppy from this litter, which will be picked in the order the reservation fees are received. Reservation fees are Non-Refundable. We understand that everyone has a particular gender that they would prefer but guaranteeing a certain gender is not always possible. We will do our best to match each family to the gender that is requested but, we ask that the family understand that sometimes the temperament of a certain dog may fit your family better than choosing by gender. Please indicate your top choice when you send your reservation fee, knowing that there is a chance we won’t have your choice available.

 

The price on this Contract is good for 12 months from the date on the contract. Any pups picked from a litter born after 12 months from the date of this contract will be subject to any price increases.
